Plan the exhibit and its life support together
Bring aquarium layout, water treatment and equipment interfaces into one coordinated project brief. Pureflow Bio helps define aquarium filtration and life support equipment requirements for new displays, extensions and renovation projects.
Discuss your projectPrepare your enquiryPlan your system
Start with the proposed species, freshwater or marine conditions, display dimensions and operating requirements. Then coordinate the treatment plant with the building, service routes and operator access. A clear scope helps the project team resolve interfaces before equipment is ordered.
Concept and equipment planning
Define display volumes, treatment stages, circulation routes and space for maintenance. Discuss mechanical filtration, biofiltration, disinfection and gas control as parts of a coordinated system.
Equipment and building interfaces
Review connection schedules, plant-room arrangements, access routes and utilities with the project team. Structural, electrical and building approvals must be assigned to the responsible project professionals.
Installation and handover scope
Agree who supplies piping, controls, site installation, commissioning and operator training. Include inspection points and the documents required for handover in the quotation.
What to include in your project enquiry
Send the following details to help Pureflow Bio review the requirement and define a quotation.
- Species and water conditions
- Display dimensions and proposed operating volume
- Site drawings, plant-room space and utility information
- New-build or renovation scope, project location and target programme
Drawings, equipment ratings, materials, controls, supply limits, installation responsibilities and the project schedule are confirmed in the agreed quotation. No fixed system capacity or project price is implied by this overview.

Frequently asked questions
What engineering services do you provide for aquariums?
We help design and specify the life support system: filtration, circulation, water treatment, plant room layout and the interfaces with tanks and buildings. We then supply the equipment and, where agreed, support installation and commissioning.
At what stage should we involve you?
As early as possible, ideally during concept design. Plant rooms, pipe routes, floor loads and access are far easier to plan before construction starts than to fit in afterwards.
Do you work with our architects and contractors?
Yes. We coordinate with your architect, structural engineer and builders on space, loads, openings and services so the life support system fits the building.
Can you upgrade an existing aquarium's filtration?
Yes. We can assess an existing system, find the weak points such as undersized filters or missing redundancy, and propose upgrades that fit the space you have.
What do you need from us to give a proposal?
Tank sizes and volumes, freshwater or marine, the species planned, plant room drawings or photos, and your timeline. We'll ask follow-up questions once we've reviewed them.
