The source does not give units for maximum height, drain size, carbon quantity or gas concentration, and prints the outlet concentration as “0,0.8”. Confirm these items, electrical phase, frequency, input power and the verified ozone-removal duty before ordering; the concentration figures are not a performance guarantee.

Ozone Destruct Units FAQs
What does an ozone destruct unit do?
It takes the leftover ozone gas vented from a skimmer or contact chamber and breaks it down into ordinary oxygen before it reaches the air. Without one, ozone builds up in the plant room and becomes a health hazard for staff.
Do I really need one if my system is small?
If any ozone gas leaves your skimmer or contact chamber, yes. Even small amounts irritate the lungs and eyes in a closed room, and you can stop noticing the smell after a few minutes. A destruct unit is cheap insurance.
How does it work?
Our units pass the off-gas through activated carbon in a PP body. The carbon reacts with the ozone and converts it to oxygen. The carbon is used up slowly over time and needs topping up or replacing.
How often does the carbon need changing?
It depends on how much ozone reaches the unit and how humid the gas is. Wet off-gas wears carbon out faster. Check it regularly with an ozone test at the outlet and replace the carbon when ozone starts to come through.
How do I size an ozone destruct unit?
We size it by the maximum gas flow coming off your skimmer or chamber, the ozone concentration in that gas and how humid it is. Send us the generator output and how the ozone is being dissolved, and we'll recommend a model.
