Custom-Built Ozone Contact Systems by Pureflow Biofloc

Pureflow Biofloc chose to design its ozone contact chamber skids and generator towers from scratch because existing systems failed to meet the needs of modern aquaculture. We developed this equipment after over three years of focused R&D and extensive field trials.

Traditionally, it was believed that a standard pressurized chamber was enough for ozone infusion, but we discovered that this method lacked precision and led to inconsistent results.

Our team gained deep field expertise by operating large ozone generators in both saline and freshwater systems, so we understand the nuances that impact system reliability. Protecting broodstock health requires attention to many design factors because fish in recirculating systems are highly sensitive to ozone levels and water quality.

We refined every aspect of the design so each unit performs safely, efficiently, and consistently. The structure and function of Pureflow Biofloc’s ozone contact chambers are uniquely engineered because controlled mixing and safe ozone handling are critical.

This attention to detail allows us to meet high operational standards and ensures long-term system stability. OFFER & USE OF OZONE CONTACT CHAMBERS IN AQUACULTURE

Ozone is a gas that must be infused into water through a pressurized process at multiple filtration points because its disinfection power depends on sufficient contact with the water column. These rely on venturi devices that mix ozone with air and draw it into the water, aiding both ozone infusion and removal of fine organic particles.

But recent developments show that venturi infusion alone is not enough for consistent ozone delivery, especially when high oxidation and pathogen control are needed. So, integrating a pressurized contact vessel has become essential.

In freshwater systems, the challenge is greater because protein fractionation is rarely used due to low foam production and salinity. So, the saline-based skimmer method becomes ineffective. Instead, ozone contact towers are required for freshwater Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS). 

Because proper ozone infusion supports water clarity, disinfection, and overall system health, choosing the correct method is critical for modern RAS design. This ensures fish welfare and system reliability with minimal manual intervention.
